A blend intended to be stronger than English Breakfast. In Eire and the UK, it commonly relies on Africa teas, but once contained a high proportion of malty Assam. Today's Irish Breakfast blends created in the USA are comprised mainly of Assams, Yunnans and Ceylons. In Ireland, it is not referred to as ""Irish Breakfast tea, but simply as ""tea.""
